The Sozni Peacock Papier Mâché Border Pashmina Shawl is one of the most distinctive pieces in Kashmiri textile art. Inspired by the Valley's beloved papier mâché craft, the borders carry hand-embroidered peacock motifs rendered in vivid jewel tones — emerald, sapphire, amber, ruby — with each feather individually stitched using the traditional Sozni single-needle technique. The plain 100% pure pashmina body creates a dramatic contrast with the richly embroidered borders, making the peacock motifs appear to take flight when the shawl is worn.
